Unavoidable Conveniences
This series of landscapes was created after taking a trip through Norway. As I was observing my surrounds I realized that everywhere I looked there was some element of the modern world intruding on what I expected to be a pristine natural panorama. I created this series to portray to the viewer the idea that there is no longer anywhere that you can go in which the world is without human influence, the ideas that we have about Nature as something pure untouched are no longer valid. We are living in a different world than we would like to believe. Accepting that the idea of Nature is no longer attainable will allow us to move forward and focus on creating the best possible world, maintaining our environments and appreciating our landscapes, even when they are scattered with telephone wires and radio towers.
