Taught public art classes and parties of up to 30 people simple to complex paintings. Explained and demonstrated painting techniques, ways of understanding light, and the rules of perspective. Created on commission paintings to be added to the Wine & Design database. Traveled to various events to promote the company and give brief paintings lessons. 

 

2015-2016     Painting/ Drawing/ Sculpture Instructor, Time for Art Kids, Cary, NC

Taught range of art camps, classes, and birthday parties for kids aged 3-16. Created activities based around the elements and principles of design, as well as art history, that helped foster a fun and strongly educational based class and camp system. Created encouraging and supportive environments for children, helped shy, and special needs children on a regular basis. 

 

2014         Museum Intern, Contemporary Art Museum, Raleigh, NC

Assisted in all levels of the Contemporary Art Museum. Helped with the installation and take down exhibitions, the research of artists and operations, filing of important documents and copying and annotating director’s notes as well as the middle school art docent program. Also assisted in planning events within the museum aimed at attracting more visitors.

 

2013           Studio Intern, Victoria Powers Studio, Blake Street Studios, Greenville, NC

Independently oversaw Victoria Power’s studio, informed and educated guests on the history of her art and her diverse use of materials. Helped organize a First Friday event and reorganize her studio. Assisted in week long arts camp.
