This piece discuses the beauty of wild places, plants, and ecosystems, no matter if they are native, or considered invasive. The poem begins by describing what seems to be a "pristine" landscape, but at the end it is revealed that these plants are growing in ditches and the fields are full of "weeds." This piece is the first I created while living in Joutsa, Finland as an artist in residence.
